Brief description on Forest Cottages Hotel Built in 1870, this original all-timber cottage has been carefully restored, furnished and equipped to provide a home from home for families or small groups. Situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of the village, Flox Cottage faces south within its own fenced garden opening directly into a network of woodland paths leading to the village golf course. Restored to highest modern standards, the cottage still benefits from its original heavy double timber roof, long since hidden under an outer cladding, making it cool and comfortable in summer and extra warm in winter.
